Conference Information

The Annual Arkansas Conference for Parent Education and Parental Involvement is sponsored by Arkansas Parenting Education Network, which includes the AR State PIRC, Arkansas Department of Education, Arkansas Children’s Trust Fund, University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Services, Centers for Youth & Families – The Parent Center, Arkansas Association of Family & Consumer Sciences, and Arkansas Head Start State Collaboration Project.    

It is targeted towards parental involvement personnel, family support advocates, and parenting educators from various disciplines.    

The mission of the Annual Arkansas Conference for Parent Educators is to enhance the skills and knowledge base of parent involvement personnel and parenting educators and to promote networking among individuals and programs involved in parenting education/involvement throughout the State of Arkansas.

Conference Mission
The mission of the Annual Arkansas Conference for Parent Educators is to enhance the skills and knowledge base of parent involvement personnel and parenting educators and to promote networking among individuals and programs involved in parenting education/involvement throughout the State of Arkansas.

Conference Goals
The goals of the conference are (1) to provide a forum for presentations on specific areas of interest to those involved in parenting education, and (2) to showcase parenting education efforts in the State of Arkansas. The Center for Effective Parenting, The Arkansas Department of Education and the Arkansas Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board are the visionary sponsors of this conference, with collaboration and sponsorship by other organizations/programs through the Arkansas Parenting Education Network.
