Brown Bag Lunch and Baby Talk
Meets every Thursday from 12 noon to 1:00 p.m.    

Materials, videos, handouts, and conversation for parents of children ages 0-5 years.   Call for exact dates and topics to be discussed.    Training certificates will be provided.  (Bring your lunch and something to drink if you would like).

 

Hispanic Parenting
Meets every Thursday from 6-8 pm

Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Group
Meets the first Tuesday of each month from  10 am–12 pm

 

Positive Discipline A to Z
June 21-July 12, 2011 (6-8 pm) TUESDAYS OR

June 22-July 13, 2011 (10am-12pm) WEDNESDAYS
A three part series that will introduce six specific parenting skills that are problem areas for all parents.   Specific emphasis will be given to those with younger children.   You may attend any or all sessions.

Active Parenting
July 19 - August 2, 2011 (6-8 pm) TUESDAYS OR

July 20 - August 3, 2011 (10am-12pm) WEDNESDAYS
This series will show parents how to effectively communicate with their family.   The skills presented in this series will allow parents to create a nurturing environment for emotional development.


Going to School
August 9 - 23, 2011 (6-8 pm) TUESDAYS OR

August 10- 24, 2011 (10am-12pm) WEDNESDAYS
Designed to help all parents with children ages 3 to 8 make the transitions from home to preschool to kindergarten and first grade.   This three part series will give you the knowledge and skills to help your child succeed in school.

 

Parents on Board
August 30 - September 6, 2011 (6-8 pm) TUESDAYS OR

August 31 - September 7, 2011 (10am-12pm) WEDNESDAYS
This two part series will show parents how to help their children with schoolwork, how to set up a study-smart environment at home, and how to support the school's discipline plan.

 

1,2,3 Magic
September 13-27, 2011 (6-8 pm) TUESDAYS OR

September 14-28, 2011 (10am-12pm) WEDNESDAYS
A parenting series designed to teach a quick, effective method of stopping misbehaviors.   Skills to help build self esteem are also included.    It is easy to learn, easy to apply and use with young children.
