| General Conference Information The registration fee for the Pre-Conference seminars is $20.00 for the half-day seminars and $30.00 for the full-day seminars. Refreshments and all workshop materials are included with your registration fee. For the full-day seminars, lunch will be on your own. Space is limited on all pre-conference seminars. The Conference Registration Fee is $50.00. Due to the underwriting of our sponsors, the registration fee includes continental breakfast, lunch and refreshments on both days and all conference materials. Space is limited, so register early. Registration Deadline: April 14, 2000. No on-site registration. Brag and Borrow Eat Meet and Mingle A dinner reception will be held immediately following Dr. Hamilton McCubbins Keynote Address on May 2, 2000. The Bill Dollar Band will provide entertainment. Network with Conference attendees over food and music while enjoying the Jones Center facilities. Your family is invited to attend. Brag and Borrow is a special time for individuals to brag about ideas that are working for them and borrow ideas from their peers. If you are interested in participating please bring an idea you would like to share and allow others to borrow during this time of networking with parent educators. Cost : $8.00 per person, $15.00 per family. Advance reservations are required. All cancellation requests must be made in writing. Phone cancellations will not be accepted. Substitutions for registered attendees may be made without penalty. Cancellations postmarked on or before April 7, 2000 are subject to a $10.00 processing fee. There will be no refunds for cancellations postmarked after April 7, 2000. All refunds will be issued after the conference. Continuing Education Units (CEU) will be available through Harding University. CEUs will be distributed on May 3, 2000 following the Conference. Individuals must be present to receive CEUs. Exhibits will be in the concourse during May 2-3. Exhibit booths are available for $50. However a limited number of exhibit booths are available at a reduced rate of $25 for nonprofit organizations. The Kids Plus Learning Center, located at the Jones Center, will provide free child care in four hour blocks. Reservations must be made in advance. Please call the Jones Center to make your reservation at 501.756.8090. Ice skating rink, swimming pool, exercise room, walking track and computer center are available for all conference attendees to use each evening. These facilities are free. We encourage you to use them. Lockers are available free of charge to all conference attendees. Please dress comfortable for the conference. Keep in mind that conference rooms tend to be cool, remember to bring a sweater or light jacket with you. The AR Department of Education has provided funding for 175 public school parent educators to attend the conference. These funds are available on a first come first serve basis. The scholarship will include registration fees for both pre conference and full conference and the dinner social. A reservation for the dinner social must be made. Lodging expenses will be reimbursed at the state per diem rate of $55.00 per day. Individuals are responsible for their own lodging reservations and all incidental expenses. Lodging expenses will be reimbursed after an original receipt and expense report is submitted. Complete details and an expense report form will be mailed with each confirmation letter. In cooperation with Barnes & Noble, a bookstore will be set up in the Jones Center Computer Center with parenting education books on display and for purchase throughout the conference. Local authors will be attending the social for book signings. Purchases can be made by check or cash. All individual reservations must be made by April 14, 2000 to receive conference rates. Requests made after this date are subject to availability. Individuals are responsible for room reservations, payment of room, tax, and incidentals.
